We can only hope, NAMCO has already migrated AceCombat into Steamworks.

All this is making CRAPCOM look real bad.

ya. it's already a sad loss over fuel and red faction guerilla. and section 8, and section 8 prejudice, and iron brigade.
sigh. never beat section 8 and i doubt i ever will now, a real crime really. it seems like a fun game.
and oh how many distractions DO i have.

GFWL allows your to make local profile/saves - it's just the multiplayer that will be down

gwl allows you to save. that's what you say, so single player will be down to.

FWIW Microsoft hasn't even officially announced any sort of shutdown. Seriously, an AOE online forum thread that was up for all of 30 minutes and got screenshotted is where people got the July 1 date from, but Microsoft had made NO announcements or confirmations.

I highly doubt GTA:IV and all Capcom games are going to be bricked on July 1. Maybe multiplayer aspects go down, but it would be cheap and easy for them to just set all attempted connections to the GFWL to get a "positive" response, which would allow signins. GFWL games all save SP progress locally, so the only things that would suffer would be achievements and multiplayer IF it actually does shut down.

Ya there does seem to be a huge reaction, but from all the sites of looked up the july 1st does seemed to be confirmed.

and at the same time all these developers pulling GFWL suport from their gamre and making it indipendent of it, means people who hate GFWL wll go out and buy the game when they only avoided it because of GFWL.
it seems the only games that arent getting "fixed" are ones with dead developers.

Nobody knows ehat will happen to this game after GfWL shut down. Singleplayer is identical with LP1 - Extreme Condition that works with STEAM, so in worst situation you can always go and play this one. Play time depends on difficulty you chose. AFAIR it is min 11 hours on easy and much, much, much longer on extreme (I think it took me 70 hours to beat it on extreme. First and last boss`s were the hardest)

So couple of months left and nobody still knows anything?

I tried to beat this one, the extended version a week or two ago and it crashed twice on me.
so i bought the PS3 version to play at my friends house.

but from what i've seen LP1 or 2 is NOT getting patched.

it crashed on me too as soon as i got to the end of a cutscene. familiar to my mutli-crashes with GFWL and Dead Rising 2 with cut scenes. funny, it works on an older quad core nvidia 8800 GTX SLI config, but not on an AMD video card. I'm going to see if it will run in dx9 instead. finished resident evil 5 that way and no crashes.

no patches in sight, but someone will make one for everyone at some point. it DOES mean I will not buy another capcom title again. at least not unless its bundled or dirt cheap. honestly, i only paid $3 for this game. it's less than a gallon of gas.

How many liters is a gallon? How much petrol/diesel cost then in US. In Europe is around 1.5euro for a liter (more less):)
