MP Activity on this game?

I really want to purchase this game but I loved it for the MP on xbox. Is there anyone out there still playing it? I have looked into LP3 but people are saying nobody play son there.

Will this effect the MP servers or just diminish the amount of people who will be online to play it. I understand people will still be playing through Steam(at least I hope so).

But will it shutdown the servers entirely?

LPC (Colonies) is not working on STEAM servers. It uses XBOXLIVE (Games for Windows Live). LP1 uses STEAM. We`ll be playing LP1 after GfWL shutdown.

Its not that easy. LP1 has some problems with matchmaking. People can`t see matches. LPC is simply better game with much more multiplayer content.

Do you think people will still be attempting to play it anyway? I really miss the multiplayer, but if I won't be able to play it it seems like a waste of $15

Multiplayer in this game is amazing. On Colonies we have always a blast. Many people come and play. Even now after 6 years from premiere there is ~200 ppl playing every week. On LP1 there will be only PC players and there will be max 20 ppl who i know will come to play it. Maybe some new "old" players will come as well when we start to play it again ?

These numbers do not represent true activity.
It only shows people who bought these games on STEAM. Many people use retail copy (like me and my friends). It also doesn`t show xbox users who are majority on Colonies Edition.

So the end-all, be-all question is: Should I get Colonies, LP2 or LP: Extreme Condition(non colonies) If I want to have the best luck playing with people online?

LP2 is more active than Colonies and LP1 combined. Just because it's a newer game
