I can't stay alive.

I'm playing a Conqueror(Warfare + Defense), and I'm at the Minotaur Lord boss on normal mode, and I keep getting destroyed by it.

I see people all the time talking about how easy every thing is and how they destroy bosses in seconds, but I'm barely scratching bosses and getting destroyed in a few hits. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Anyone else have this problem? Also, I'm playing with the Soulvizier mod.

So you're playing with a mod which has as one of it's features "Greatly increased difficulty" and you're wondering why it's difficult?

Anyway without mods, conquerors are usually pretty straightforward but some bosses or enemy types are harder with melee. Main thing with the minotaur lord is to try and avoid getting hit by his main attack (actually true for most bosses), but if you do get hit and it doesn't kill you, run away and heal. It'll help if you can use one side of the room and clear out the traps so you're not constantly taking damage. Anyway he's easier to hit-and-run than to stand there trying to tank him. That's about all I can offer.

Ah, I play Soulvizier with a few friends as well. Let me tell you, all of us think it's impossible to play Soulvizier solo, no matter what classes you go. You'll need to coax a friend into playing with you, at least one. :)

It is possible to solo play soulvizier. I used to think soulvizier was impossible at first but then I found out I was spreading too thin on skills, or I wasn't allocating enough points into the mastery bar (2 pts into mastery, 1 into skill every level up) or I wasn't picking the right gear for my builds. Grinding the mobs and bosses for xp and gear also helps.

If you want a mastery combination that can speed through the early game pick nature/spirit and invest into pets and watch them tear through everything.
