what do you think the best combination of skill mastery is?

I'm rather fond of Defense\Hunting which gives you a Warden class. From there you can focus on a shield\spear weapon combination with quite a few good passive skills or you can go with using bows and traps to hold enemies in place.

ah ok, i always like the necromancer and nature one due to their both powerful summoning ability, and heeling and defensive auras

I have been using defense and nature with highest level pets with extra health and defensive abilites makes attacking large crowds less difficult

I have Earth/Storm. I like the aura's you get at the first level, they do decent damage. As long as you put the 2 leveling points into INT every other time, then you should be fine. INT increases your spell damage, so the higher it is, the stronger you'll be. You'll also want MP/HP first, then dex, then str last.....this all depends on if you'll be strictly spellcaster, or spell/melee. I prefer spellcaster all the way, but everybody's different. :) GL!
