This badly needs integration with the new Google maps VR
My dream when I got this bike was the hope that eventually the tech would evolve to allow me to free roam in Google streetview for the ultimate sandbox experience.

Now Google has Google maps VR for the Vive.

Let me pick a destination, drop me in, let me ride, this seems like a no brainer. You already have a bike app. It seems the only tweak would be how to do sharp turns, and there's plenty of buttons that can be used to reorient 90 degress.

Burning calories biking down that endless road in the arcade is OK, but it would be exponentially better if I could do it in Tokyo today and Oslo tomorrow. MAKE THIS HAPPEN PLEASE!

We're investigating options for this, actually! The technology may not be there yet, though – while Google Maps VR is fine for jumping around to static points, we're not sure it's comfortable enough for the kind of fluid motion in open spaces that we focus on. Google Maps VR also requires Vive motion controllers that we worry might be unsafe to use while pedaling on a bike. So, there are some obstacles to overcome, but we get enough requests like this that we'd definitely love to offer something like it down the line, when it's possible.

Thought folks here might be interested to see some footage our designer recorded while exploring Paris with Google Earth VR. Good potential for a flying game, and you know how much we like flying games! Things get a little wonky closer to ground level, though...

Custom levels for Pagasus? Helicopter? This could be amazing, even if it was just random targets plopped over the map.

That sounds awesome. I am definitely passing that along to the team. :)

Wow! That would be so cool to be able to explore real world maps like that. Kind of a VR/AR game.
I already thought that... If done right - I'd be willing to pay a good bit more for that option.
wouldn't even have to be a target - shoot - I'd be happy to travel land mark to landmark (maybe waypoints) to simply say I biked from X to Z. And to have non repeating scenery while riding. The cycle game is really lacking in variety. I'd be happy to travel by bike in the google VR even if I'm 50-100 ft above teh road.

Would love to see the incorporation of the Google maps workouts such as some of the other exercise equipment has. I know that Nordictrak uses this to allow you to use street view as you run or cycle. This would be incredible in VR.
This sounds like it could be really cool if it works. Would it only be compatible with Vive, though?
