I can see for .... kilometers?
Despite an extensive search, I have not found a setting through which distance and be measured in miles in place of the default kilometers reading. From what I can tell no such setting exists unless it has been intentionally hidden or requires unlocking somehow, both of which make as much sense as using the Metric System to measure distance for a product distributed within the US. Having spent too much time looking for a setting that does not appear to exist, it would have been appreciated if the omission of "miles" was clearly noted somewhere on the VirZoom website or online manual. Had I known this it would have made me think twice about making the purchase. I would imagine most Europeans would not be pleased if they had purchased a VirZoom only to find the distance they "traveled" can only be measured through the use of the Imperial System. I am surprised there has not been sufficient feedback to correct the situation as it does lessen the experience significantly. Faced with either converting the reading manually at the conclusion of every game or just guestimating the reading of miles, I am considering the third option of returning VirZoom or reselling the product to a more Metric-friendly individual. The omission of miles is a puzzling and disappointing decision. Perhaps a Chinese-only manual for the VirZoom II? That would be fun.

Thanks for the feedback. Right now distances are only measured in kilometers because that's what bike races typically use, but I'm happy to tell the dev team that there's demand for a "miles" readout!
Miles will be REQUIRED with US sales. No one does kilo here. And "bike races" here all use miles. ;-) It's a easy math conversion bit of code to add to the games. I try to equate my virzoom rides with my real life rides and it's hard for me to do this with Kilo - when I already really wide in miles for distance and mph for speed. Kilo to people in the US is nearly the same as no data at all. It says You peddled 5K! (I suspect that's around 3 miles?) kinda in my head but not good for training (using approximates). If I didn't buy the unit in U.S. I'd not complain if I bought it in Europe and brought it back to the U.S. with me. it is a VERY easy bit of code. I have heard responses like "(it appears in a lot of places)." The code should be done so that replacing a procedure/variable in one place updated the data in all those places. that's just good coding.

Sorry, meant foot races (aside from marathons etc.) – but yeah, clearly we are getting feedback that this is desired. And I'm not a programmer, so I can't say for sure what the obstacle here is exactly. All I've been told is "it's not that easy," so it's on the to-do list among other "not that easy" things. :)

+1
+1 mile = )
If the US could just get on board with the rest of the world and switch to the metric system, it would solve all sorts of problems. Until then, being able to see distances in both miles and kilos would be useful :)
