Thunder Bowl feedback
TL;DR - It's great! It''s a nice change-up from Winterstan, which I still like because of its scope - but I can imagine this map working much better with the human players that I still hope to encounter one of these days. Three suggestions, which are really global tank game suggestions not limited to this map:
1. The NPC spawn and fire rate ramps up a bit too fast IMO. Once I get over 3000 points or so, survival is somewhat a matter of luck. It's really fun, but it gets too hard too fast. If you relaxed it a bit, my average session length would go up by maybe 2-3 minutes - which would be a better workout. Right now, it's my favorate mode by far, but each session ends a bit too early - there comes a point where I pretty much know I am going to be dead in 30 seconds or less no matter how well I play - it would be nice to stretch the challenging part of the curve out a bit so it lasts longer.
2. Tanks that spawn in should have a spatialized spawn sound effect, so that you know that you have a new threat, specifically those that spawn out of your field of view. As it is now, I have to spend a lot of time either craning my neck or spinning the tank to keep from getting killed by tanks that silently spawn behind me.
3. Related: late in the match, I have experienced tanks that spawn in my FOV, and immediately get a shot off - this doesn't feel fair. There should be at least a slight delay (or in case there already is one, a slightly longer delay) before the NPC tanks start shooting.
Bonus request: bring back the speed boosts! And make them optional for weak-stomached players who can't use them.

Also, note to other readers: If you miss speed boosts in tank (or are very thankful they are gone), please do speak up. We were concerned it was too uncomfortable for some players, largely based on feedback at a particular event with a lot of local developers playing for the first time. I'd love to know what longtime tank players think, though.

I'm not susceptible to VR sickness, so I thought the speed boosts were crazy fun, however I think it's understandable taking them out so that they don't pose a hazard to those who get queasy from that sort of thing. Being one of VirZoom's most popular modes, it'd be a shame if some users found the tank games to be hard to handle.

On the other hand, I'd love to see another VirZoom game based around that sort of thrill, some day. Maybe something akin to a Wave Race or Hydro Thunder (IE something more arcadey than Racecar / Go Fast Car)? Something that would need a warning sticker right on the menu, to let people know it's liable to cause VR sickness.

Obviously, that's a pretty tall order. Just maybe something to consider for, y'know.. down the road. :)

I think that'd be more acceptable to the folks in charge of those kinds of decisions, yeah. Putting speed boosts back in would require changing the rating on Winterstan to "Intense." Might be possible for Thunder Bowl because it's flat, but otherwise, it's more likely we'd just do a whole new game with that kind of speed.
