Suggestion for Online Play- Never any people to play with
I don't really care what game I play as much as being able to play with real live players. I feel like there should be a lobby and a way to see who is online and waiting for a game to play with someone and request a round of "whatever game" I rarely see anyone in any game and playing with bots gets old really fast. Also explain the 3 tier star ranking system IN GAME, I understand high scores but this is getting old really quick guys. This should be a social sports game and competitive . I get it , it's called arcade but I think simulator VR work out is a better idea than high scores. If online is split between 3 tiers you're really cutting the userbase down to nothing .. Who cares if they lose ! GET BETTER

Thanks for your input! The multiplayer experience will of course get busier as more people download VirZOOM Arcade, and it's still a pretty new product in a young VR market, so to some extent this is a matter of timing. We're also trying to arrange with Sony to allow crossplay between PC and PlayStation 4 users, which would effectively double the number of other players you see online.

It's worth noting, too, that Quickplay and Friend Challenges are the only modes that support multiplayer. You won't see other players in Timed Workout or Custom Workout. And, if you go to the menus for Quickplay or Friend Challenges, you will see a note on each game indicating how many other players are currently playing. (I think there might be a bug in this that fails to show when others are playing sometimes, though, and I'm looking into that.)

Finally, don't worry about the stars – your star rating has no impact on multiplayer. We don't use it for matchmaking or anything like that. It's just there to give you some sense of how your top score measures up. The only place where we do risk fragmenting the userbase in multiplayer is in having so many different games in VirZOOM Arcade, which is kind of a balancing act: "More games" is by far the most frequent request we get, but is also the one feature that makes it less likely you'll run into other players. We're trying to manage this by offering new games gradually, as our user base grows, and fleshing out features in existing games in the meantime.

I hope this helps!

P.S. If you log into my.virzoom.com, you can see a chart indicating when you're most likely to run into other people online!

It's nice to know you're doing what you can to maximize the userbase and resources you already have. Still every day since I've had this bike and VR setup, I've only encountered live players a couple of times. Most people only workout an hour or so daily. Social atmosphere is going to make or break your success. Just a friendly warning. It's pretty important. I've found all the features on the dashboard and think you've done a great job with that and it's very well thought out. I just don't know if " comparing scores" is going to get people to play more than an hour and encouragment from friends or competitive atmosphere is what people want. The reason people go to gyms often is because of the like minded people often times that is what drives people to return. Also paying to win is kind of ridiculous like the upgrades coins. I get it you have to make money , make more money with more game modes as DLC's. I encourage you to discuss some of these options in your team meetings. A bike race would be great, not check point racing ....and also there are too many bikes on the BELL bike course that get in the way, timed races not COINS. Make more games and we will pay for them.

I'll pass along your feedback! As for paying to win, we are wary about this ourselves and regularly discuss how to handle it. All the upgrades are obtainable through regular play by spending the coins you earn from scoring without ever paying real money, and the avatar upgrades are mostly intended to be pretty balanced (mechs are tougher but have lower range and present a bigger target), entirely cosmetic (flags on tanks), or only minor boosts that are cheap to acquire with coins (racecar avatar that acts like you're one resistance level higher). If we get a sense that we're not striking the right balance, though, we are open to revisiting this approach.
