Have you managed to run the bandits out of town?
I'm curious how many people know about this, well... let's call it an Easter Egg!

If you make it to a certain wave in the Cowboy game (spoiler: it's wave number 48 ) the town ends, leaving only a long stretch of empty road flanked by rolling hillsides (and some sparse trees). Nothing else changes too much, although you could consider the Tornado power-up to be slightly harder to use, as it no longer has buildings to ricochet off of..

Keep going, and you can actually reach "the end of the game" .. after wave number 70 the bandits stop spawning; you'll be riding all alone (and presumably off into the sunset, as cowboys are known to do) and after a certain amount of time a wave-full of non-existent bandits will apparently 'escape', concluding your session. But by this point, you should be close to or over 10,000 points and thoroughly drenched in sweat, so to have any additional waves would just be excessive anyways, right?

There's (currently) no achievement or anything for getting that far, but it's safe to say you should feel proud if you can get there. I'd definitely recommend posting a Friend Challenge on the post-game screen, to show off.

Bonus trivia: In previous builds of the game, before reaching the end of town you would ride straight into (and through) a hill. At some point, the ground beyond the road would disappear (basically a Rainbow Road situation, but less colorful).. and much later, the entire road would be gone, too, leaving you galloping off through empty space. At that point, the bandits would still exist but they'd lag so far behind that you wouldn't have the chance to catch them, effectively leading to a "last wave".

Suffice to say, most of this was never really intended to happen, and the events were fixed to be far less bug-like. I'm glad that it's still possible to "run the bandits out of town", though, it makes reaching those late waves feel like more of an accomplishment. ;)

Yeaaaaaah, let's go with "Easter Egg" and not "well even Pac-man collapses at level 256." :)

I think this is a thing the devs were aware of, but figured we had some time to address since nobody was playing Jailbreak! for that long. Thanks a bunch, Superman. Time to prod the devs! ;)

Hah, I say just add a "You beat the bandits!" or "You win!" message to the end of Wave number 70, and call it done! The fact that I no longer ride into any hillsides or see the ground disappear tells me that someone must have done some fixin' already. :)

Keep at it, Spyder! Have you tried playing on a lower tension setting? If you trade tension for a longer session, it should be just as good a workout I'd wager. Let me know if you need any gameplay tips.

Been using setting 5 or 6 for the tension which at my age isn't too bad since I haven't ridden a real bike in over 30 years. Will give a lower setting a try.
Got to level 19 and was dripping with sweat..............

Hey, that's still farther than I get on a normal day. I am a big fan of "play until exercise is done" instead of "play until I break the game" ... except for when we're bug testing. :-D

still one of my favorite hidden bits in the game.
