Fish getting "stuck" in Lotus Pond?
I've seen an issue several times now when I'm playing the "Gem hunt" portion of Lotus Pond where, when you throw food at the gems, fish won't come. If you look around behind you sometimes you can see a few fish or a group of them "stuck" as if they can't move. As a result, no matter how much food you throw out, the fish just don't show up. Eventually it seems to correct itself, if you wait like 30 seconds, then you can catch gems again but that's 30 seconds of not being able to chase a high score! (This is on PS4, if that helps.)

Any chance your fish are swimming through red gems? You have to be careful about where you lead them at night, as blue gems boost your score, but red gems can knock a school out for a while. We recently shortened how long they get knocked out for, but maybe it's still long enough that it's tough to tell what happened. (And maybe the whole "let's not tell you the rules so you can figure it out yourself" design ethos for this game is more confusing than mysterious in some places...)

I just had an idea that might remove some of the ambiguity of the current good gems / bad gems system, while potentially also making the night portion of Lotus Pond more fun / rewarding...

Instead of Red Gems, how about Big Fish? When the fish schools get too close to a Big Fish, it could chase them away or eat one of them (and then swim away itself). Mechanically, this would have the same result as the bad gems, in that it disables the school for ten seconds, but instead of just sitting still in the water they would scatter in fear, and come back when the disable period ends.

For simplicity' sake, the Big Fish could just sit idly in one place until 'disturbed', although it might be more interesting if they would have larger 'interaction radius' than the gems and also swim around, requiring players to actively lead their fish schools out of harm's way using food.

In exchange for taking more effort to avoid, the point value of night gems could be increased. (Something which might be nice regardless.. flocks of ducks are just worth so much more than gems)

That is a clever idea! I will pass to the developers!
