The Run Down on Silverfall (The Low Down)
Hello everyone,I will tell you what "I" experianced playing Silverfall. As professional and fair as I can,as with my other opinions on past games. The game is reminicent of many different RPG's, but the ones it is more reminicent of are NeverWinter Nights,Titan Quest, and the graphics lean toward some of the X-Men games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, especially the outline on the characters. The play style is that of the D&D Baldur's Gate,Torchlight games or any like it.Some of the quests seem to be broken. One in particular is The missing Refugees quest,it would not let me turn the quest in to the quest giver.About the combat.Combat plays out like it did in the Sacred and Sacred 2 games, where the enemies appear at random as red dots on you mini map as you travel the lands. Most of the time combat is unavoidable and at times teadious. The game is pretty simple over all ,just point and click and watch your ♥♥♥ :) .As for the 2 different parts of the game that are "DL able",I think they were ment to work like the Titan Quest games did with Titan Quest and Titan The Immortal Throne".If you have ever DL'ed and played these games you know what I mean. The add -on for this was just supposed DL and atfer that just select the Silverfall expansion and reload your last saved character and done, but not here with Silverfall obviously. "IF" you select to play EA expansion(After you DL and install Yes?) You would just start with your character at last save from the original (vanilla game) except now with expantion in tow. Then you would be playing both the vanilla and expansion.Titan Quest worked like that when I added it's expansion.I just DL'ed it and instead of selecting the vanilla game I selected the expantion and Bang it worked.Same with the Neverwinter Nights games.I just think this game was set up the same way with it's expansion, but the developers somehow muffed that one up. So to sum this up if you liked Neverwinter Nights games and others like them you'll most likely play this even if not all the way through *sighs*.Anyway if I find more about this game I will be sure to post it.
