Emergency landings?
If there was a DLC or an update for emergency landings, I would definetly buy it.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll add that to my list. What would one pay for that?

I don't know- anything from 2-8 GBP would be very nice indeed, but I'll let you decide if you prefer.

I think a lot of it would depend on how much content was added to the emergency landing . Would depend on how much you would charge, if you had a plane coming in with a smoking engine or even on fire and had emergency vehicles that could go out and respond to it while you diverted air traffic to another Runway I think it definitely would be something worth paying for. probably only 2 $3 again depending on how much it added to the game play

Indeed, I would love the animations of fire/smoke but I'd rather not have the developers work too much on DLC when they have much, much more important things to focus on.

Thank you :)

Just as well, there is something I thought with emergencies. Engine problems, bombs, medical emergencies, lots of stuff like that. :)

Nice additions! Also hijacking would be nice option.
Interesting thought, though hijacking may offend some.
Though there could be the option to toggle this one, as it's sort of a sensitive subject with the terrorism going around now.
Hijacking!! Good idea for an emergency!!
I don't follow this at all.

Hijackings occur on the ground or in mid-flight, not on take-off and landing. So, if the hijacking occurs on the ground, the aircraft just sits on the tarmac. Big whoop. If the hijacking occurs in the air, it's either leaving your airspace (again, big whoop), or it's going to land at your airport. Are you seriously suggesting that someone would commandeer a passenger airliner filled with three hundred souls, and force it to land in TORONTO?!

So, OK, emergencies. There's two ways for the ATC to solve them. One is to divert all of the surrounding traffic so that the stricken plane can land. I see that, but all I have to do is just press GO AROUND for all the non-emergency planes, and they do. It's exactly the same thing that you do if your taxiway is backed up onto the runway. If there were a stronger action for forcing planes to go around or loiter, then sure. But all you have to do is blank out all the planes in the air and in less than ten seconds you're golden.

The other way to deal with an emergency would be to smash another aircraft into the stricken one. Hijackers want to take flight 6969 to Cuba and divert it to Toronto, well, if I direct Speedbird 007 right into them, the hijackers all die in a flaming hell and I get a medal.

How about just adding the option for sending planes to a holding pattern?
Speaking of go-arounds and holding patterns, I've noticed that when you tell an aircraft to go around but don't tell them to land again they leave your airspace and just fly off.

The dev al;ready commented that this was by design. It gives the player a bit of control over his situation. If you have space in the pattern, then tel the plane to land so that you get credit for it. If your airspace is jam-packed with no more room for the aircraft, then you can let it go away (diverting to another airport), thereby freeing up some space, but not geting credit for the landing.
