Back last summer i proposed the idea of tiering game play, allowing a option for carrer play where as you are assigned to a airport, and based on your abilities you could be promoted to a larger one and so on and so forth, till you where at the largest airport avaliable . Any progress on this idea, or has it been tabled

If implemented, i assume it will be in a new game. Can't imagine the developer will re-write this game. (unless its an easy add-on)

I'll have to see how it goes. Seems to be a lot of users wanting something more realistic. Perhaps a new title? I could keep AM3D going forever, with add-ons?
AM3D is super sweet since it finally gets into a 3D realm. The Madness games seemed just a hair more like puzzle games (which I like), while the 3D game seems just a tiny, tiny bit more than a puzzle (which I also like). I would really love a reasonably detailed ATC game, though.

I kind of don't like the ATC games where it's exactly the same amount of work as being a real controller, since I don't want that level of commitment to a game. But I like that kind of tension, thought, and decision-making, just with streamlined UI and controls. Voice recognition is pretty cool, but it alienates my wife and puzzles the neigbours who hear through walls. A mouse click to control an airplane is way better than voice or command lines for me. That's why I like AM3D a lot, since the whole thing is operated with the mouse. If I wanted to be a pretend ATC, I'd be more into VATSIM. The puzzle aspect of these games does have a lot of appeal, more than the call-outs, vocaubulary, and rules.

So if it were up to me, I'd be happy with more Madness games, more 3D games, a career game and/or a realistic game like ATC2 or TRACON. And a map editor. I hope this narrows things down.

I like the idea of a career game. I'll give some serious thought to what I develop after AM3D.
