GRID 2
Frustration from game tweaks abuse.
When I bought the game, I was hoping to get good online gameplay. Online Challenges? Nice, but races - are awful because of game tweaks abuse.

Players with high level have better cars, further more upgraded, and tend to create races, where they can use them for their benefit? Challenging, interesting, and not bad at all (you'll get those cars and upgrades either way). However cornering, overtake using car reset, or "ram to win" strategies when you CAN'T damage a car by any means, but slow it down - no problem, makes online gameplay expirience much worse than it could be. So it would be great to add some restrictions and/or penalties.

For example:
- Limit max number of car resets to 5 for one race (like flashbacks in single career), and -1 reset each 10 levels (pretty fair, since you get better cars with higher level, not mentioning upgrades on those cars). So it'll make races slightly more challenging for players, plus you'll not be able to abuse car reset to pass corners, opponents or difficult parts of the track.
- Make penalties for ramming something higher than certain G load(game has a G meter anyways), so cars will not be so indestructible and/or player will recive speed penalties for causing serious collisons with track and/or other player cars (like when you cut corners on the track). I'm not saying that any collisions should be prohibited or punished, but when you get rammed on the turn by someone who didn't even think to drop his (or maybe even her) speed (like 180-280 km/ph) right into the wall, and afterwards just reset the car and continue the race like nothing happened - definitly s**ks.

PS: Seriously, Grid 2 had to be a race sim. You want to crush/burn/ram/blow up/destroy/etc. every thing around you with your car? Flatout series at your service!

About the resets, not so sure, that means the better players get more of them and if we switch it around the newbies get to ram more without consequenses. The rest seems to be fine, besides if the player in front of you crashes and you without knowing smash into him, wouldn't that get a penalty?
By the way, the max number of resets IS 5.
Judgeing from how often players use resets - not so sure. Still right now game looks more like derby. But I see your point, thanks, your remark on this issue at very least gives some thinking ground. Though something has to be changed to force players use more of their skill, and less "ram-reset-continue" rutine.

Oh, one more thing: I usually play the "Online playlist -> everything", and never saw that reset limit counter, so might it be the case? And one other thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwga4zp_UWA - this footage isn't mine still first minute or so shows my point clearly.
Yes, you're right. In races 90% of time the first corner seems a desctruction derby, if you not have a high level and start from behind probably you'll crash, and some players prefers crash and use resets to save time and speed.
It's a serius mistake that the game don't have a car damage during the online races.
Using a replay to make it around a corner is no exploit, you may see it as thus, but its not, loosing seconds on a turn instead of making the turn makes no sense, remember it sets you back.

Now I have used reset to dodge a guy i know is going to smash into me on the next turn, very satisfying seeing him crunch the wall after i disappeared.

The higher level cars are better, but keep in mind the highest level people are stuck in the back of the pack at start of race. It takes quite the effort to get up front through all that traffic.
It is not that hard to get infront of the pack when all those newbies trying to ram eachother on the very first turn(espetianlly when u can "fly" right through them...), and "better cars" on higher levels are way better than basic ones. At least compare in T2 cars like Nissan Skyline GTR Z-Tune to one of the first cars you get - Dodge Challenger Concept. Basic stats of the first car is better than second ones even with upgrades, so this difference makes up to lost seconds easily.

A penalty for rammers, like the cut corner one would already greatly improve the game.
In regard to the resets: a max would be good, but similar for every one. I'm L30 now and have to start at the back every race and have to get past all the rumble in front which is a big task already. In addition to that some players like to target faster cars for ramming.
Also with the unlock pack players with lower levels can have the fastest rides and upgrades too.

Rammers should be DQ faster and get a stop and go first. They will stop doing it if it doesnt reward them.
Also players who got rammed should not be penalized for it like it is now. That is just lame.
Yeah...I've seen a few of those players with cars unlocked by DLC - same as usual low level players, but slightly more annoying. Regarding remark about resets: I don't mind equal number of rests for everyone, as long as they are limited, otherwise it's a healthy ground for abuse.
