Grid 2 Won't Start (SOLVED)
So, as the title says I can't start this game. First few times when I tried to run it steam gave me a message like "the app is already running". After that I restarted my computer and reinstalled the game. No message after that but instead when I click play nothing happens at all. Have you guys had any problem like that? I would appreciate it if you could help me.
PS: It's definitely not a hardware problem because I can run Crysis 3 and other games on ultra settings easily.

I'm glad I am not the only one. Please reply back when you find the solution.

I got it too, contacted Steam Support which made me do something, now I'm getting missing executable, so I fixed the missing executable as it told me to, but now, the games starts to the same place, and crashes but no more message....

Try reinstalling directx and microsoft.net
Turn off programs like Raptr,Xfire, RadeonPro, etc... just to eliminate them as potential issues.
Right click on Grid 2 icon in Steam client -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify game integrity.

I looked for .dll's in the game that it could be but since I'm not having the problem I can't really test anything.

Also, give more system info. Like operating system, processor, vid card at the least so we can try to troubleshoot it.

I fixed it in my client. Here is a solution I found on a site:

If you are experiencing random crashes while loading the game, you can try the following workaround:
In Documents, go to Documents\My Games\GRID 2\hardwaresettings.
You should look for the file named hardware_settings_config.xml.
Open the file in a text editor and look for the line:
directx forcedx10=”false”
Once, you find it, you should change it as follows:
directx forcedx10=”true”
Save the changes and run the game again.

The above solution did not work for me, although I no longer an error message after applying the change. The game always crashes for me while loading the intro after selecting the World Racing Series from the menu. System specs:

Win7 (x64)
Radeon HD4870
16GB RAM
AMD FX-8350

Thanks, this fixed it partly, I can finally play it, but it still crashes, and gives the same error.
