I got this game a few months ago in a Steam sale for a few dollars as I don't currently have any good racing games, but I didn't get a chance to really play until today. When I first opened it up it launched in borderless windowed mode at a ridiculously small resolution, to the point where I couldn't even read the text and I couldn't change it until the configuration was done. (Also, at this point I learned that it uses Games for Windows Live... ew). Anyways, after screwing with the settings for a good few minutes (I had to keep changing resolutions back and forth) I got it to scale up to a decent size and got the borders back so I could move it to my other monitor (♥♥♥♥ing taskbar was in the way), but I couldn't find a way to put it into full screen. Also, the framerate is capped at 30 FPS by default for 1080p, and you can only get 60 at the most. After starting my first game (and waiting a ridiculously long time for the race to even load) I noticed that the default controls were arrow keys but I decided to just go on with the race until the end to postpone dealing with the terrible load times. The anti-aliasing didn't seem to work at all, and a few minutes into the race, the game started to noticably lag, going down to about 30 FPS and having frequent lag spikes, even though it had run at a smooth 60 FPS until that point. When the game was finally over and I had gotten through the loading screen, I went to the settings and tried to change from arrow keys to WASD, at which point it lagged out for a few minutes before finally letting me change the keys. I ended up disabling anti-aliasing and it looked exactly the same but fixed the framerate. Then I tried switching maps for my second race but it made me replay the first map (I tried pressing escape during the terrible loading screens but it made me wait until it had loaded to switch out). When I finally got to the second map it was great -- until the point where it started lagging so much that I couldn't control the car at all. At this point I wanted to play something else so I hit the exit button, but the game lagged out and crashed. Overall the game is by no means bad -- it's rather enjoyable, actually -- but it's a terrible PC port. If you can handle all of the crap that's wrong with this game, go ahead and buy it, but if you don't want to deal with that ♥♥♥♥ I do not recommend getting this game.
