I enjoy this game a lot. It's fun and enjoyable.
Now, let me get to why I don't recommend it.
DLC ruined this game. Why?
The game is organized into 4-5 different "pyramids" of events. By tackling all the events in a pyramid, it becomes "golden" which is a nice goal for enthusiasts. I mean, who doesn't want to look back on a collection of 20-30 races and say "Yup, I aced all of those races."
With the addition of DLC, there are now races you HAVE to buy in order to get perfect event finishes. Yes, they had a game complete upon release, and then they make it feel incomplete and unfinishable. This trend of DLC in games has ruined many videogames, and Dirt3 is another casualty of the greed of paying for content.
Aside from the disruption this game causes to the universe of "golden pyramids", this game is solid fun. However due to the emphasis on cheap DLC gimmicks and making the game feel incomplete, I cannot recommend this game.
