It's a great game for people who already know how to drive and for people who have no idea how to drive. If you are in somewhere inbetween, the game won't move a finger in order to help you learn it - you'll be stuck on "not knowing", driving with a bunch of assists that basically do everything for you, or you'll already know how to drive without them, which makes the game progression sort of pointless unless you want to be really competitive.
While I kept playing on casual with a bunch of assists and with the dumbest AI possible, and I'd get on 3rd or higher, this idiot would say how amazing I was doing and would call me 'amigo'. There was nothing more irritant than that, this game clearly doesn't know if they focus on the children or on adults, and it sucks for both. I didn't learn a thing about driving except that I'm amazing when the PC breaks and turns for me and that my mechanic is a great 'amigo'.
Also, Games for Windows Live. Ew. Ew ew ew ew ew.
If the poor game progression wasn't enough, you still need to buy a lot of DLC if you want to play the game at its fullest. Just don't waste your money on this. It has good graphics, but I'd rather have a good game with bad graphics than the other way around.
