Online lag
Hey guys, wondering if anyone else has huge fps drops while online? I've got D3 maxed and it gets an average 61 fps according to the benchmark. As soon as I hop online though, I get major fps drops. Anyone know an answer?

Try with medium settings and tell us if its the same

Well I put the settings all on High, like I had on my old HD 6770 (never had lag), and I still got lag. (btw, I have a HD 6870 now).

But, I will try medium settings and see what happens when I have my desktop on next.

wow. thats a huge drop. I'd say mine drops to about 20 fps.

Haven't had a chance yet to get on dirt to test medium settings.

Same here. As soon as I open the online menu thing my FPS goes to hell. Anyone know of a solution? Rest of MP is laggy for me as well

Gaaaah, I get 80+ FPS on Ultra settings in single player. I hate GFWL.

How about add an exception in your Firewall? Or run the game as administrator? Or run it under DX9?

Ok, I'm sure it has an exception on my firewall but I'll check. I'm an admin on my computer so thats not it, and DX9? HORRIBLE loading times. Before I installed 7 on my PC it took literally 3 minuets to load.

:O I am with win7 and I run the game just fine (depends of hard drive speed too) 2-6 sec loading times.

lol I mean when I had XP it took like 3 minutes. With 7 it only takes a couple of seconds.

Yeah. I guess its just a problem with the game. Maybe its the 8x AA thats doing it, since I used to have it at 4x.

My processer is a phenom ii x3 720 BE @ 3.3GHz, so it isn't what they recommend for D3, but I still get perfect fps in singleplayer, no matter what track I'm on.

Try with AA off or at least 4x
