I loathe the gymkhana events in DiRT 3 with a passion. I don't enjoy them at all and having to to get some kind of placement in those competitions in order to progress is just infuriating. I like racing; not doing tricks and donuts. If you could kill that with fire I'd be very pleased.
Showdown was for "fun" game modes, but that's over, lets just get going with rally and rallyx, make it big on these things, instead of focusing on game modes that not many people enjoy or that you used in a game (showdown) just focus on more tracks and car classes.
I'm sure DLC will be part of the game, but be reasonable with pricing and content, you guys seem to be focusing on community now days so I'm sure DiRT 4 will be what most of your fans expect.
- big selection of countries and stages with lots of diversity (not just 1 big stage that is cut into smaller ones to make it look like 8 stages per country)
- big selection of rally cars from different eras (i miss cars like lancer evo4 and 6, impreza from 98, 2002,
i think what lacks in racing games today is the tracks, i would like to see a game that puts big emphasis on having lots of different tracks, having 50 different tracks and only 1 car and 1 mode is more important to me than having 50 cars and 50 modes but only 1 track, if u know what i mean
and for even more diversity i would suggest an option for mirrored and reversed stages and a combination of the 2
If you want DLC restructure it so when I play every other car I try to choose doesn't cost money, or at least I don't have to see them. Microtransactions aren't fun and it makes me want to avoid your games.
More classic liveries or a livery editor. Im not sure if its a licensing issue but some different varity over which energy drink you like would be nice.
More vehicles included with the game. I want to buy the game one time, not be nickled and dimed over every car that you should have put in the game in the first place .
More Pastrana just because he is a baddass.
OH,...DO NOT pave Pikes Peak and make it for wussies!
We lack good rally games, no more ken block crap ( or if you relly want that tipe of games create a DLC only for that tipe, but allowed the base game to focus only rally) Ciao
At the end we would get:
- dozens of rally stages and rally cars
- a complete rally championship mode
- the same goes for other disciplines (like rallycross, or tophy trucks)
- a combined career mode which includes every disciplines, but the player can choose which ones would they keep their focus on (like ignoring gymkhana)
- the handling of DiRT2 (it was the best, hands down!)
- a clear, neat user interface (á la DiRT1)
- garage setup options similar to the ones in DiRT1 (and that really makes difference in car handling)
- and so forth (i have other ideas as well)
Just more races and dirt 2 style with great multiplayer.
