All this to say, you have a passenger who is an expert on the track and yells stuff like "80 left 6 left over crest right 6." and while there is an indepth, unskippable explaination on how to click on a triangle to start a race, there is no mention of how to interpret this expert knowledge thus far.

That would be worth listening to. I honestly could not care less about Jack or the contract girl or the mechanic or anything. Actually, I have negative care, because I dislike it so much I wrote this whole damn thing.

In future games, perhaps include an option for "D-BAG ANNOUNCERS ON/OFF?"

I've stopped playing Dirt because of this. I had to listen ~ 5-10 minutes of crap before i got to the first race. Not to mention that It couldn't conenct to my live account, no matter what i did.

Solution incoming:
1. Turn down the Voice Volume in audio options. Reduce your pain, but take it! xD
2. In the Menu before starting the Race (where you can also edit your vehicle and stuff) there is a tab called driving assistances (?) [german: Fahrhilfen]. Click on it, advanced options, the 5th option is the one to disable.

Have Fun with this.. interactive racing experience. Whatever.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :) The only voice over I like is the driving assistance. I just want the game to tell me what she's saying. What's a left 6? Why 70 crest left to right 8? Those seem like useful things to know what you're racing.

The complex announcer uses the navigator system from real rally races. When she says something like "Left 1", left is obviously the direction of the corner, and 1 is the difficulty of the corner. 1 is the hardest corner next to a hairpin, and 6 is the easiest corner. Sometimes they say "Left 5 plus" meaning its not a lvl 6 corner, but easier than a lvl 5.

Crest is a high point or a hill, jumps are obvious, and cut/dont cut means whether or not you can steal a couple feet from the inside of the corner.

The announcers don't bother me at all. I just treat the game like an SSX game and I assume that is what they were going for.
