Linux Support?
So I got it, installed it, but when I run it I get this pop-up that says something to the effect of this game requires the substance plugin, would you like to download it now from the marketplace? I click yes, and boom ... nothing.

Try clicking no. The Linux client (for playing the game) is not officially supported and there are other issues (water shader for one).

Well hope in end you plan to support it. Atleast on repopulation as Linux is growing and only reason I stop playing Repop is I dont use windows anymore.

Thanks for the update, I believe the Substance thing shouldn't be an issue moving forward (we removed it in the latest build on the updated engine version since we aren't using it). As far as the mouse cursor, seems like something that hasn't been reported before. Thanks.

It still has the substance popup at launch.

That patch has not gone live yet. You can test it on the test server however. http://steamcommunity.com/app/441790/discussions/0/343785574514153800/

Ah, I misread Josh's post.

It no longer asks about substance, but nof after loading the main menu, the game doesn't accept any input. Mouse clicks do nothing, and you can't select anything with the keyboard. Dowsn't happen in regular windowed mode but getting it out of fullscreen was a pain.

You have any gamepads plugged in? Try unplugging them if you do. It shouldn't be an issue (isn't in Windows), but we changed quite a few things around regarding input.

I know you don't officially support the Linux version, I'm just sharing my experiences in case it might help find bugs in the Windows version.

That said, no gamepads. It might have something to do with having multiple monitors. Fullscreen on the secondary monitor doesn't cause it. Nvidia 560ti on latest proprietary drivers. Also, I can't even get into a game. It starts loading, severely lags the system, and eventually crashes. I can provide the terminal putput if you'd like.
Scratch that, resolved itself after a system reboot.

Edit:
Just tested; the input issue only happens when the game is in fullscreen on the primary monitor with a 2-monitor setup. Single-monitor and switching the primary monitor both work fine.

I'd be up for purchasing if Linux gets a supported version.
