The Newest Update.
Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Updates Released
November 20, 2012 - TF2 Team

Updates to Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat: Source and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The major changes include:
Source Engine Changes (TF2, DoD:S, HL2:DM)
Fixed a client crash in the sound emitter
Team Fortress 2
Fixed a dedicated server hang in bot pathfinding
Fixed the tf_zombie entity crashing some servers

Hopefully it worked.
wait... I don't think that caused it...

it seems to be only crashing people that run in DX8, like me. People with higher-end PCs running on DX9 don't crash as much, if at all...

In other words: it may have fixed something completely different

I believe i have DX9 and i have not had any problems EVER, so i'm good.
Of course it COULD have been DX8

That's a fix to the OLD crash bug.

This is a new bug...

It is working okay for now, I'll just have to wait and see if anymore validations crop up.

This update broke hl2 deathmatch for me. Before this update and just this morning I was playing fine. After it everytime I try to play it crashes at the intro screen with a "memory could not be read" error at the load screen. Even after fully deleting all game files and reinstalling. This "update" needs to be fixed.
Funny, I haven't been crashing. I guess it's because my computer runs on the tears of the Irish or something.

I think mine does too.
Mine hasn't been crashing, maybe because I keep my two lucky books near it at all times.
Just tested it in dx8, it didnt fix it.
Of course, it will reach 20 GB for this game to download.
Don't expect much if your computer may has problem: videocard need to be recommended and high memory.
