Valve hates pyro's

I've been playing team fortress 2 for a while now. Only recently I've been getting those pesky "HL2.exe has stopped working" errors. So I started writing down what class I was playing at the time of the error only to find out that 9/10 "HL2.exe's" were when playing pyro. All 9 of the crashes show the same image on screen, A enemy burning and me wanting to swing with my melee weapon.
I find it rather odd that it only crashes when using the melee for pyro AND the enemy is already on fire. (Axtinguisher?)

Coincidence. The last update caused a lot of people hl2.exe crashes and other various problems.

I have to dissagree.

90% of the crashes being at the exact same 'thing' you do, in this case melee'ing a person as pyro, seems a little more than just coincidence.

Happened to me when I was about to be killed by an axtingusier pyro and i must say. THANK GOD.

I used to get crashes when I'd play a no-mod server and do something that used a rediculously long mod sound. Now I don't, because I got rid of my audio mods BECAUSE it happened so much. T.T (noticed: Forever)

I also get these crashes when I join a server, pick a team, pick a class, and try to spawn.
It won't even let me spawn. (noticed: For months now.)

Lately with this update, I guess I've crashed more often.
It's completely random. (noticed: Very recently)

This has been happening to pyro regardless of melee for about a month now.. i wish valve would adress this as it is a major issue. Axtinguisher is not worth the crash and i can no longer powerjack to regain health. Until this is fixed i refuse to play pyro and knowing how valve is at fixing major issues it seems i won't be playing pyro anytime soon.

I had that crash only once. I responded to that by simply putting my Axtinguisher away for now and equipping my Medieval Mode weapon, the Fire Axe, instead.

Otherwise my Mac is somehow fine.

For one: Stop using the axtinguisher you little annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. #2, maybe it was what others suggested, or possible a particle overload that your computer can't handle. Try lowering graphics.

Personally I think Valve hates the Demoman more.

Let's be real here, how many times do people ask about new explosive weapons. A lot. How many Explosive weapons has he got recently? About 1 outside of the very first demo update, and it's a mele. He has 1 extra nade launcher, and 1 extra stickybomb launcher, the rest? Demoknight stuff. Not even a reskin of any his launchers! Nope just MELE reskins!

Compared to the pyro who has..

A Grodrbort update, Actually got another class's weapon (Reserve Shooter, yet demo doesn't get Mantreads or Market Gardener), An update focused solely around him (the Demo update was shared with the Solider.) and an even bunch of Primaries, Secondaries, and Mele weapons.


I highly doubt it's the Pyro causing it, and if it is, It could very well be a graphic related problem. And only the Axtinguisher? That's...downright wierd...Even with the Axtinguisher, the pyro is still kinda gimped compared to Solider, Demo, Heavy, and the Scout. He has very low dps and noooot a crapton of mobility like the other common Offence classes (spare heavy who makes up in health and raw damage, at a whopping 500 dps.)

Yeah, grenade launcher is a spam cannon and loch-n-load is fun but became boring. Give me something that makes ♥♥♥♥ go boom!

I think this is more then just Pyro, I mean I've experienced what your talking about on more than 1 occassion and it sucks, mostly when I'm in a full server with reserved slots and it crashes.... But anyways I've also experianced similar problems with Medic, as I do main Pyro and Medic. It's and odd occurance but it does seem to lean a bit more twords the pyro more then any other class I havn't crashed with any other class in quiet some time.
