Anybody else tired of launching tf2?

It takes 20 minutes to "Validate" steam cache files, and recently it's taken me 20+ minutes from the first loading screen to the server loading screen.

nope I havent experienced the problem you are describing
in your position I would quit steam, rename the tf2 folder and start steam and let it extract it again as something is very wrong with your install

That's not the problem... It happens to me but some fixes are deleting clientregistry.blob and stuff. The last resort is to redownload tf2 :P

It's not your fault you have a bad computer.

The validating cache files, I understand, but 20 minutes from the loading screen to the server screen is just... bad.

well the "20 minute loading screen" is gone. computer got cleaned(cleared) recently.

However Validation still happens.
and now "game is currently unavailable, try again later"
