why does gmod and tf2 have to validate steam files EVERY 5 SECONDS!!!

Its annoying now when ever i want to play something else, "game cannot be opened because we are trying to validate your stem files :D" i go to close tf2 validate and open borderlands again and now gmod wants to validate, any help?????

I am getting this too. Every time I start up steam I have to validate my game files.

I know, it brings me to my desktop while im playing mw3 and says "you can not validate steam files while the application is still running!" then it glitches and i cant close it!!! >:|

Used to have it for like all my source games until i glitched up my pc and got it repaired by clearing the space, and now after reinstallment it works fine! so maybe uninstall all of steam and then reinstall it!

I have never played gmod, but a possibility is that you are not giving it enough time when you shut down a programme.
Say you are playing tf2, then you want to play gmod, well, give it about like five minutes between whenever you shut down and start up a game, but this is just my theory.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
