Abuse of vote power

I've been playing tf2 for a while now, and have something around the 30 hour mark for spy, so naturally I've got pretty good with him, which should be great!
But it isnt.
playing as spy for more than 20 minutes results in me getting perminent bans from official valve servers, and as far as im aware, theres nothing i can do in order to stop this.
It may sound like im just showing off, but I'm really concerned that this could stop me playing from spy at all, perhaps even the full game. i really thought there was a great community in this game, which I've tried to follow, avoiding the use of the backburner, gunslinger etc, and my spy is really the default except the diamond back. so i wasn't expecting such a negative responce to simply doing what my team needs. is there anyway i can defend myself, at all before i get the door shut on my face?

Well I have 2 things to say.

1. Some people can mistake skill for hacking. Trynot to overdo the spy class, and if it keeps happening, go to the forums and tell someone.

2. Not all servers have admin power, and these are ussually better (due to no admin abuse possible), so try one of those.

3. If it's valve servers, tell them about it, and they will do something. Valve made the spy, why would they ban a player for being a spy?

Wow, that sucks. Maybe you could do competitive if you're good enough to make people think you're hacking. When you're banned for that, it's really a major compliment.

I've never been banned from any server, let alone a Valve server. I thought the only way you get permenantly banned from Valve official servers is if you are misbehaving with scripts and hacks. (They will catch you, no doubt.) You aren't spamming or advertising while you play? I know some people like to set up commands to automatically say things when they kill someone... but you'd have to kill people pretty fast to trigger that. The best protection you have against votekicks is playing with friends. Remember, votekicks don't permenantly ban you. The just boot you from the server for 30 minutes. If you go solo into something, people will votekick you to make room for thier friends sometimes. So play with people you know, or grow a personality that people would feel guilty about kicking in such a callous manner.

That's assuming you aren't totally misplaying the spy... I've seen bad pyros and snipers get kicked, but not spies. I don't see people getting kicked for playing well, either.... but I suppose anything is possible... however unlikely, because your team has to mostly agree.

I rarely stair stab, its a cheap trick, plus why bother when they can already be dead? 200 points within 3 rounds is a common thing, and as for the comment about voice commands i do use them alot but i dont over do it. so far I've had 7 kicks and 2 bans, and although i do have a competative server saved, there are usually already three or four spies on my team, and with that many spys comes pyros, so i dont bother and just go medic. shame really :/

If ur getting really good id recommend giving nocrit servers a try, gets u out of pubs and with players with more skill

From my point of view, being killed by a good spy almost always feels unfair, especially in a match that's already difficult. You could try to see from the point of view of other players. Guage just how frustrated they may be. You can switch classes for a while to let them cool down.

As far as vote system goes, Valve obviously looked at the two evils: Valve having to assign moderators and inconvenience themselves to keep servers clean, or allowing voting which has the potential to work fairly, but also inconveniences the players if it's abused. Obviously Valve would rather players be inconvenienced.

Again, you cannot votekick someone on the opposing team. You have to teamswitch, then convince the team you just jumped to to votekick a player who is likely benefitting them. What is the lesser of two evils? If you keep getting kicked, you're either breaking the rules, or people really don't like you. You could take it as a sign that the game is vicious... but you'd pretty much be out of any multiplayer games then. TF2 is the puppy of Multiplayer games with any sort of large audiance.

I seriously doubt stairstabbing has anything to do with it. It's not like that's an exploit. Even if it is, it's basically Guile's handcuffs in Street Fighter. It's just not worth anyone's time to fix, and the move is so legit, it's allowed in tournements. That's like raging cause you're a bullet magnet when the Heavy's minigun cuts you in half at point blank.

30 hours? In which servers\map you play? I don't want to sound arrogant of course, i'm not even a good Spy.

On Valve Servers?... You can pretty much be an awesome spy even with less hours, depending on the newbiness (usually high) of your enemies.
