Hats dont determine skill people
Just cause someone has a unusual or a expensive hat doesnt mean there always better than a person with no hats or a gibus. I dont see why would people instanly think people with a gibus or no hats means there bad. Theres no disadvantage or not having hats, and there isnt no advantage of having hats.

Just went on a server that displayed the number of hats and miscs you had.

Immediate black list. Elitist idiots.

Back in 2009-2010 they didnt determine skill, it determined wealth, people with hats were amazing at the game cause they needed enough training since 2007

Indeed. However, based on probability, those without hats would have less skill as they would be newer to TF2.

I take offense to that as that is on the one and only randomizer MvM server which is my second-favorite MvM mod. (After where you can play as a robot.)

It wasn't MvM. Was an Arena server.

True, but sometimes it's a tip-off. Has no hats? Probably new to the game. New to the game? Probably not as skilled as other players.

EDIT NOTE: Gibus is different as it means you have dominated somebody, and dominations are rarely because of luck. Unless if it's on a RTD server.

Its just that if it's your first time wearing a hat, you have the feeling of being "pro" and always on a positive feeling while playing. But after a few days or weeks it just fades away and you're just back to your original feeling again.

I sometimes go on a pub wearing the gibus, at least one person will call me a sticky spamming noob or a hacker or something. Come back later with my unusual, no one questions it, occasionally I even get complimented.
