Making it so the mat_phong 0 happens every time you start up
Ive heard about mat_phong 0 being a cool high performance thing and i also heard you could have it every time you startd it up. How does one make it so Mat_phong 0 is always on when you start the game?

Put it in a notepad document, save it as autoexec.cfg, and save it in SteamApps/common/Team Fortress 2/tf/cfg.

Basically. A lot of people think it's pretty ugly so there are mods to reduce or remove it, along with the mat_phong cvar that recently got added.

it basically gets rid of the 'phong' lighting and it makes the player models and items have no plastic like shine on them

I tried to save it in the note pad but do u have to write mat_phong 0 as the title of the notepad or inside of it and how do u put it in auto.exec

Inside it. The title of the file is autoexec.cfg.
