Yup, thats the biggest pull to people that play TF2 ONLY to trade. I hear stories of people making a litiral living off of it too. I call bull, buuuut I'v seen stranger jobs that can support a person.

Some hats can go above 1,000 dollars. It's one of the big reasons people flip their wig if anything were to effect older promos or the Mannconomy in general I'd wager too.

It makes a good way to "Cash out" of TF2 when you finnally wanna quit I guess.

Technically it's a violation of the user agreement.

But people do it anyways.

You can also sell items on the Community Market for Steam Wallet Funds.

You can trade items on a sort of gray market using Paypal, but it's easy to get scammed if you don't trade with someone who is already quite trustworthy.

You're better off waiting for the Steam Market to expand its range of marketable items beyond Vintage/Genuine/Festive/Botkiller/Tool.

Sell item on Steam Market is a bad deal. Tax, fee. Can't use Steam Wallet to buy food.

But it's alot easier to unload small items. Furthermore, the market is there, you don't have to go find a buyer, setup the transaction and hope they won't scam you.

Regulated markets have security built into them, and thus you have to pay for that.

15% fee. Don't think so. Hell, tax where I live is 9%.

A high fee doesn't negate my points.

Trying to sell a 15 cent item on paypal is a total pain in the ***. And you never know if you'll get your money.
