Awful Download Speeds In Ubuntu
So I've been sniffing around now for a couple of hours on a solution to my problem, today I switched from Windows 7 to Ubuntu 12.04, Installing TF2, but I'm only getting download speeds of around 50-60 kb/s when I should be getting around 700 kb/s. This is only happening in Steam, I can download things just fine in my browser and torrent client (which I have turned off whenever I am downloading TF2). netstat -anp|grep steam, but I don't know exactly what I'm looking for, it did say that all sources were connected/established and one was listening. So I have no clue what's going on. Any help is much appreciated, I'd like to have this playable by tomorrow.

I doubt it... I have another computer running windows and it's speed is just fine downloading TF2
maybe the servers are separate....

I wonder who I would talk to, to find out if that were fact. But still, what are the odds that that many people want to download TF2 for Linux all at the same time?

Are you using a wifi dongle, or bluetooth enabled?
