No sound when using headphones.

This happened to me a while back. I'd changed the sound quality in the options and suddenly, I don't get any sound unless I've got my headphones unplugged. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so how did you fix it?

If it helps, in the console it mentions not being able to load DirectSoundCapture.

Check your options that it says headphones and not 5.1 or 7.1 etc...

I did. I've checked about everything I could check and there's still no sound.

I have this glitch too, except the sound isn't working in general. Sometimes it works after waiting a while, but sometimes it doesn't.

At least for me. Waiting and hoping tend not to be the most reliable ways though. I'm no expert on these matters, and I may have a different glitch anyways,
