Low ping is a good thing. It's the higher numbers that you don't want.
That would be because the server is being hosted litterally right in front of you.
That 1 ping is the delay of your cable to the internet plug.
Well technically it would be from the LAN controller chip to the system bus.

The less ping you have, the better internet connection...
@uninstallteamfortress2
I'm assuming you're new to this? 1 ping is the best possible ping you can get. The lower, the better.
Ping means how long does it take to reach the server, meaning the less ping, the better.
As people have said, 1 ping is very good. It's like that because the server host is you, and, unless your house is made of lead, you'd get a very fast connection to you.

Lead only applies to radiation, unless your Ethernet/Internet port is bare wire.
Unrelated, but it's not specifically radiation, but all forms of waves, be it radio, micro, gamma, etc.
Still, who's to say he hasn't set it up with WiFi?

1 ping? Oh my god guys, we've finally found 1 PING!

Explorer's Diary:
After years of enduring the pings of 100s, or even 300 (shudder) we have finally found it. 1 ping. Wait, what's happenning? NOOOO ITS GONEE (explorer has disconnected from the server)
