With Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. i cannot remember the exact loading error at the time of writing this. Thanks for suggestions.

google. youtube, your not the only one who has had issues with it. Just explore forums and such till you find your answer. Its a big pain but with a little luck and a mega ton of patience you should be able to find an answer.

I remember there's a tool can cheat steam to believe you are running on Linux, a very small program to run on windows. Use it at your own risk.

Let me incentivize the issue, I will buy you a shamrock shake if the problem actually gets sovled, by someone other than me. And if that solution comes in the form of a patch.

You need a videocard of OpenGL. Macs use OpenGL too. DirectX is for Windows only. And I'm guessing that is your videocard.

I already told what the exact graphics card is. I have it running with the approprieate graphics driver updates, from Ubuntu. Open GL is a function that aready that works with other Linux games, just not this one. Again, nerds, use your brains.

Fairly low-end integrated GPU.

Are you using the proprietary ATI drivers, or the open-source ones?
Cidvergil7 Feb 27, 2013 @ 10:45pm
The ATI/AMD proprietary FGLRX driver.

If texture quality change in video advanced options of TF2 not help, try opensource drivers instead of prioprietary drivers :-/ Was forced to use opensource drivers on my A6 to play TF2... (Xubuntu 12.10 32bit)

Ok so I went and allowed the experimental drivers, updated, checked for new graphics drivers, there were none. So I re installed the ATI propiertary drivers.

With the glxinfo | grep OpenGL I got

OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series
OpenGL version string: 3.3.11627 Compatibility Profile Context
OpenGL shading language version string: 3.30
OpenGL extensions:

Also, this is the exact error I am getting from TF2 "GL_EXT_texture_sRGB_decode" is not supported.
