TF2 is not working on my Ubuntu
Hello. How to solve "Required OpenGL extension 'GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc' is not supported. Please install S3TC texture support." crash on Ubuntu?

Do you have an intel integrated card? If that's the case intel is not really supported at the moment.

Looks like AMD Open Source drivers, install the proprietary drivers. Activate them through the settings - software sources.

It's a Dell notebook, so, yeah, I think it have a integrated card.

Team Fortress 2 crash when loading maps. Using Ubuntu 12.10 latest nividia experiment drivers.

I have a i3 on this notebook. Even like that the problem can be AMD Open Source drivers?

I run the game and he crashes, not even the Valve screen shows up.

The weird, guys, is that in the same notebook, but on Windows, the game runs! So the problem can't be the hardware.

Ah, it's Intel. I don't think that it's supported yet. You could try to update the drivers, add this PPA: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates

Or more edgy (so it's really unstable): https://launchpad.net/~xorg-edgers/+archive/ppa
