It's the Apple OS and Windows combined.

Incorrect.

It is basically OS X without the professional editing and business design.

Install guide for Ubuntu.

After Ubuntu is installed, go to the Canonical Software Center in the launcher to the Left and search for Steam.

After you have both installed, Install and run Team Fortress 2 just like you would on Windows.

Originaly Linux was a varation on the unix operating system. Unix was the first real operating systeem invinted. I think it was the late 1950's or 60's. Unix was for businesses and very expensive. Linux kernal version 1.0 came out in 1993 or 4. I forgot which year but some one recently got the linux kernal 2.0 to run on a 2nd generation Commedar 64 from 1984! Linux was for servers originally but now it does almost everything Severs, Desktops, Games, space probes, ect... except for running Nuclear power stations, Linux has a disclamer for that! Then again I dont't think anyone would want Windows running those either! Lol.
