Low Performance?
I can play most games with at least medium settings (Half Life 2 on high or highest) but for some reason Team Fortress can't be played at anything other than minimum graphics settings and my laptop still gets hot playing it. http://i.imgur.com/jGDe8UR.png Picture of my specs. Wondering if anyone else has noticed Team Fortress uses more resources than other games?

I know that feel...

I have dota 2 maxed out but have to run TF2 on bare minimum settings.

Mostly, I think it's because TF2 uses a 5 YEAR OLD version of the source engine. Newer versions are both better optimized, and take better advantage of modern hardware features...

I think.

Half-Life 2 has probably not been updated to have nearly as many detailed models and textures relative to TF2, and a 6470M HD is low-end even for laptop video.

TF2 is poorly optimized.

I would recommend cleaning out your laptop, defragging the computer, running Game Booster, defragging cache files and validating them.

Canada man
London Drugs sold it to me. Got a massive discount from a Back To School sale, then an extra $120 off because I requested the floor model instead of the new one in the back. Sure it's got some milage but $400? I'll take it and when it dies I'll take another $400 laptop
