The Strangening
How about a new tool for that upcoming salvaged? A tool that would have about the same uncrate chance as an unusual. It would turn any weapon (that is, if it does something actually worth tracking) to strange quality, and of course, only have one use. Would strangened(?) weapons, never existing in that quality prior, be worth something? Say, an enforcer were to be strangened(lol), and noone else decides to strangen another. Would it be pricely? And I'm pretty sure something like this was posted before, (who wouldnt think of this?) but still, the idea was eating away at my mind. Im ACHING for a strange Original .-.

Anyone else hurtin' for a non-existant strange?

Items that could only be strange from the item would obviously be way too expensive, but there's also the risk that it could be made available in a crate at any time. It would be pretty annoying to spend a lot trading for one just for the weapon you used it on being released in a recent crate.
The tool wouldn't really affect most people anyways. It would probably cost too much to buy, so most people would have to be lucky enough to find a salvaged crate and be even luckier to unbox the tool. Most people wouldn't be able to buy it.

Then It'd be a better idea for crate 56
MUCH easier to obtain, seeing as a salvaged is out of most people's ways, as you mentioned, and a bit easier on the unbox chances.
