Spy Mentor
Hello everyone. I have played TF2 for about 1 and a half years, and am looking for a person who can mentor me in the Spy ways. If you want to rage, complain, etc. don't comment.
Thank you, and have a good day.

I will mentor you, because in doing so what must be done will be done.

I can also help you... because backstabbing is the way (to get all the player in the server angry xD)

Gare---> Totally Agreed; i'm a really good Spy, and i don't get any Mentor, just train, train, some dirty word to God in the middle, some lag, and train, train, train.

I find it hard to believe you're a "really good spy" when you're a member of both saigns AND nighteam...

@OP: Yes, practice is the only way to get good at any class. Just a word of advice - stick to stock spy for now. Using the dead ringer while you're still learning, as easy as it may seem, will teach you bad spy habits.

If you want any advice for any class just add me, spy is my second most played class.

That are from the time i was still practicing TF2, and i never exit from here (too lazy)... and otherwise, if you saw a player force only into the company he's meeting... well, man xD

As a spy with around 30-40 hours and an orange fancy fedora (Though hats shouldn't be recognised for skill, that's for those who go by that) i can say spy is based on 3 things: Luck ( on where you are, where your enemies are and their skill), Predicting where the enemy is and what theyll do (based on visuals like classes, hats(again subjective), and weapons) and finally your own skills to react to situations how you see fit, like sneaking arond the back or quickly jumping in for a kill on a medic even though you may die. If you die as spy but at least kill a medic or destroy a sentry, you're much more worthwhile then if you went around pot-shooting at people. Hope i helped :D

There is no shame in asking help with spy, its probably the most complex class right next to engineer. Basically, save your cloak for when you REALLY need it, when disguised try not to draw attention (also vary who you disguise as, don't always be demo or whatever). and most of all, remember, you have a gun, you'd be suprised how many people i see that use only there knives and pay the price for it

650+ hours of spy (and still not as good as i would like to be)
there are a few things you need to know (my flaws basically)
1. Dont be a hero. Do not rush in and start butterknifing the crap outta someone.
2. If you get seen, run away
3. Dont use dead ringer. get good with the stock invis. dont use c&d. the drain rate on that is waaay too fast.
4. Positioning. Take the flanks. Know the map well. With all that, you can get really good positioning behind them and sometimes even get a nice long chainstab
