try toning down all settings in options
and run the game in directx8
or try running gamebooster to boost frames

im already at low settings, cant really go much lower. i think i am running in directx8 and what are gameboosters. from the sound of it, it sounds like a program my system couldnt handle while playing. so the obvious answer is to get a new pc. and the obvious answer is no ♥♥♥♥ and no money. is there a file for the particle that reskinning or somethihg could change it?

There are unfortunately a LOT of things called gamebooster. some appear to be legit, others... questionable. Which are you referring to? Razer, IOBit, Wise or something else? Lets not get anyone in trouble here.

*I don't reccommend any external program for steam games. it could upset VAC.

Original Game Booster and Razer Game Booster both don't really do much, maybe free up some usable space so your computer doesn't strain as much, but maybe I'm not seeing the effect because I'm on a mid-lowhighend system.

oh, sorry, it sounded like a special loader program...
