Step 1. Play all the training things.
Step 2. Play offline practice until you get the hang of things.
Step 3. Use this: http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Strategy

Depends...SOLDIER TIPS
Like with the demoman, one of the more difficult aspects of playing a soldier is hitting moving targets. Look for opportunities such as when as scout has just double jumped and you can safely predict where he will land, or when a heavy starts spinning his minigun and you know his position won’t change a lot in the next couple of seconds. Shoot smarter, not harder.

Although the last page may have appeared to be an essay on avoiding direct hits, there is something to be said for them (so long as your confident you can). There are 3 situations I can think of where direct hits may be an option (this of course doesn’t mean splash damage isn’t): when the combat is at fairly close range so your target has less time to react to a rocket, against a slow/unaware target (spinning heavy, for example) that is physically unable to take evasive action, or when you’re presented with a mass of enemies that it would be hard to miss. On average, shooting for the feet will serve you better, but sometimes the body shot can pay off.

Stationary targets are where the soldier excels. His fire-and-forget, long range, zero deviation rocket launcher is ideal for destroying an engineer’s creations from a safe distance. If the enemy has any defensive structures that are an obstacle for a team, soldiers and demomen should always make them a priority rather than yelling at their spies.

Sniper/spy aren't very good classes to start out as, so don't try those first.

wisest words spoken ever
Learn to play as the soldier. Best class that offers good capabilities for a new player.
First of all this is your first day, judging by your writing and time before you came asking for help without checking around with the guides, playing offline, etc you are indeed a noob and a bad one. Anyway, Go read some guides, watch some videos and listen to the other people's advices.

Just Chose a CLass (notSpy and Sinper) And Just learn from your Mistakes
I can see they have already recommended the Wiki. I recommend adding it to your favorites. Read through the strategy guides on the classes that interest you the most. They have basics, advanced, countering, and more for every class, and every loadout. You can take advice from people in the forums... but realize people are either telling you what they like to play most, or what they have the least problem dealing with. This is silly, because whatever YOU have the most interest in playing will likely be the class you put the most time and effort into learning, and enjoy doing so. As time goes on, your tastes will change, and you'll branch out... but focus on what you enjoy....

Otherwise....

You can also apply for "Coaching" in TF2. I don't really know how well that works.

Heavy is the best beginner class in my mind. The only weakness really is snipers.. and other heavys. Play cautiously, even if you have a medic buddy. Medic is also good for observing your team (to learn tactics) and focusing on sharpening your situational awareness skills. Survive!

If you find yourself dying alot, try to predict what corners enemies will come around, and ambush them. Having someone run into your bullets is always better than running into thiers.

I wouldn't reccommend the Soldier, for a couple of reasons... first... rockets can blow up in your face, easily. For a new player, this is frustrating. Second, if you don't know how to rocket jump and do it well.. it's like half of this class it shut off to you. It's playable without, but it certainly isn't as fun. If you're good at not killing yourself with the rocket launcher... then stick with it. The rocket jump can be devestating in the hands of someone who knows how to use it.

Unless you have lots of shooter experience under your belt, don't go Sniper, as they say. Spy is tricky as get out, leave that to others to start. If you're good with timing and patience, the Pyro can be fun, but you have to really know the map to use the Pyro well.

Demoman and Engineer take patience.

Scout is fragile, and very much favors twitchy player.

Demoknight, if you have the gear for it... is fun, but practice in Medival mode. Melee combat is wonky in this game.

You could also try to enlist help from friends so that you can train. The learning curve is tight but keep playing and you'll get the hang of it.

Not really, you know me to make that statement?

Being a noob and a bad one in video games isnt a big deal considering he didnt check around before coming crying for help, he just started playing, he won't become good because he ask how to.

Long story short: Calling someone a bad noob is not making assumptions on his life. You did assumptions.

Coaching is garbage. People don't listen to you and/or ask for advice when you're in the game.
