Medieval mode
Madieval mode just isn't a full-class experience. that should be changed. Any suggestions for weapons they could add for specific classes?

The three levels of sentry could be catapult, trebuchet, and then ballista.
Maybe a small warbow for scout, that has worse accuracy at farther distances?
The heavy and soldier could have small ballistas or crossbows(with explosive bolts for soldier, of course).
Demoman could have a sling with bombs
Any more ideas?

More medieval maps. ๖ۣۜElfу ρєrs0n™'s ideas sound okay, but medieval is supposed to focus on melee more, in my opinion.

Ah, but that's my point. Most of the medieval items, with others eliminated, make it impossible for each class to fulfil its purpose/style. And maybe more melee weaps as well, I just don't like the fact that sniper and demoman are the only two actually useful classes in this mode, and even then only with certain items! The others are left practically powerless, as my fellow medieval players should know. This is part of the reason why no one plays it anymore!

They're not powerless by any means; an Equalizer or Escape Plan Soldier does relatively well, in my experience, due to how you'll rarely be above maximum health after your first engagement. Scouts can both extract more Health Packs using the Candy Cane or use the Sandman to stun foes; they can also attack quickly and mess up other classes with double jumping.

Heavies soak up damage and, depending on their weapon, can consistently land critical hits that decimate players, who are forced to fight or flee, either method accomplishing the overall goal. Pyros are one of the only classes who can ignite players with the Sharpened Volcano Fragment, while the Backscratcher makes Health Packs more vital to yourself, while dealing extra damage. Spies deal instant kills with their Melee while being more resistant to detection, particularly due to how Fire and liquid isn't as effective. Medics can heal during combat, can heal other players consistently and boast the ability to see enemy health with the Solemn Vow or receive additional regeneration with the Amputator and Crusader's Crossbow.

The Engineer is lackluster, but that's about it; he does have a decent way to inflict Bleed damage, but that's about it. Considering how the mode is built, it's fine that he's a bit worse than other players, especially with how Bleed damage is still somewhat important, as it has even less ways to be cured than Fire.

It's not completely unbalanced, but the mode is a joke itself, really; it's fine as it is, in my opinion, unless they were to actually treat it like a real mode, in which case balancing efforts should be made. Chances are they won't, so balancing everything perfectly is simply not needed.

I dunno. I realize everything you said above, but not everyone has those items, and they're not as glorified as you make them seem. Even so, I'm still not satisfied with the mode as is.

Not having them is no excuse, but I'm simply saying that every class has options; they may not be as good as a Demoknight or a Sniper, but they aren't meant to. I've killed many a Demoknight as a Soldier or Heavy, mainly because they underestimate me; it's not satisfying me either, but particularly because the mode was made as a joke, to be honest.

Sort of like Special Delivery; there's only a single official map for both of them, and attention isn't really paid much to either of them. Unless Valve starts actually releasing new maps for Medieval purposes, then I see no point in fixing a broken joke; of course, that being said, new Melee weapons that help classes in Medieval Mode would be nice, but they certainly aren't priority.

Magic, spells and such! They proved magic can be implemented into the game. Although it was a bit unfair and took a team to kill the mage… it still possible!

It could be...
Unless you work for valve and are braking your contract by leaking secrets it could be!

I still think that Medieval Mode has more potential than just being "a joke". I prefer to think of it as "an abandoned project that could be revived whenever possible"
And besides, who doesn't love the medieval weapons they added for it, whether it be for Medieval or other gamemodes. It would be nice to have some more like them.

If they treat it like a real mode, then I agree, it could be nice; the problem is that, as things currently stand, it would take a lot of effort to balance this mode, both in terms of weaponry, concepts and gameplay testing. Degroot Keep itself turns out to be a giant pool of Melee spam most of the time, barring a few players using ranged weapons, which isn't terribly engaging; it would be quite difficult to balance a Medieval Payload, Special Delivery or even a decent Capture Point map.

I honestly don't realy like ranged weapons in DeGroot either. Demomen with Eyelander can simply jump over the walls, anyways!

Medieval Mode is the only time I use the Fan-O-War.

It's hilarious to watch medic crossbows take out demos after marking them for death. Or even better, kill them with the FoW. THAT is embarrassing. Know how long it takes to kill someone doing just 5 damage a hit? LOLZ.

They should have an option for servers that limits everyone to frying pans. That level of LOLZ is beyond the measuring scale.

Oh. nunchucks. That would cool.

That's why you have a demoknight waiting for them. A demo finishing his charge over the wall that gets demoknight charged at the top ends up dead.
