Console FPS to PC FPS
I just switched from the Xbox FPS to TF2. It is my first PC FPS and my main problem is switching from the Xbox controller to a keyboard and mouse. Any tips?

Have you tried using your XBox controller on your PC?

You get used to the TF2 controls. They're rather easy and you can configure them to pretty much any scheme you want

I only have a wireless controller. I haven't the chance to buy an adapter.

The main thing that is getting me is the mouse. It is killing my accuracy.

You could be a class like demo or solly if you dont have good aim. I have terrible aim with soldier but i'm pretty good because I use the blast radius to my advantage.

All right. Thanks!

Do you have a gaming mouse? It helps drastically being able to adjust mouse sensitivity. Playing an FPS with a normal mouse is a pretty bad experience. The Logitech G400 is a great mouse for a fair price.

I might just do that ,but I think buying a wireless adapter for my controller would save me more money.

You should try a less complicated and more casual game, like Planetscape 2, or Tribes Ascend.

It is too late now.. I'm already hooked on TF2. Even though I suck majorly, when I get a kill I nearly scream from the joy! Haha!

Remember you can always change the key binds to your liking, as for trouble with mouse aim, practice makes really good (nothings perfect)

It really helps to play against the bots in training before you head out into the servers, since it might help you get used to how things are done. It might also help to start at as a soldier first, since he happens to be one of the simpler classes to learn (Though a bit hard to master).

Nothing is going to beat the mouse for accuracy and precision, so best thing to do is just keep using it using it untill u get used to it. But if u really don't want to be putting the time in just buy a wired Xbox controller. They are cheaper than the wirless controllers and will come in handy for a crap load of other games which u would normally play on Xbox u can now play on PC for cheaper and better graphics ( Assasins creed for E.G ) But don't expect to become a top end player using a Controller vs M/K players.
