Tf2 keeps crashing

My tf2 keeps loading up to the menu but quiting straight after loading it up :( someone help please

I think I played with you yesterday evening on 2fort at about 7 PM ET. You where playing as Pyro and I remember seeing your ping was incredibly high. Am I right?
Anyway, When did this start and are you getting a message when it crashes?

wat happens is i start up tf2 is shows the intro thing and then as soon as it loads the menu my tf2 closes fully :(

and it started doing this about an hour ago

Try defraging game cache first:
-From the Library, right-click on the game you would like to defragment and select Properties
-In the Properties window select the Local Files tab
-Click the Defragment cache files button
-Once the defragmentation process has completed, you will be presented with a report detailing the extent of fragmentation

Then verify game cache:
-From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
-Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
-Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
-Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

I forgot to tell you that the process takes about 20 to 30 minutes. Maybe longer if you've never defraged you game cache.

Next thing I would tell you would be to reinstall TF2 but I'm not sure if that would solve the issue. That's up to you if you want to reinstall. Also, you may want to browse support for possible solutions. https://support.steampowered.com/kb_cat.php?id=69
