Demoman Sound Crash
This has been happening for a while: on every computer I play TF2 on, there is a chance that when I attack with any Demoman weapon the game crashes. The screen freezes and the last played sound will loop until I go into task manager and force close it. This appears to only happen to me, since I've played this on my friend's computers and it crashes only for me.

I tried updating all my drivers, defragging the game files - which helped - but the problem is still there. If anyone has had this problem or has any ideas on how to help me, please speak up!

By "any weapon" you mean primary, secondary and melee?
Or does it only happen when you charge with whatever kind of melee weapon?
If so and if you're using skins that have different particle files, get rid of those.

The same happens to me, quite regularly (every couple of hours).
I haven't made a connection with demoman - never played one - but it may be that it happens when I'm getting blown up by one.
The audio buffer loops for a dozen times, then the screen goes black (with mouse pointer). Task switching to desktop and back does not draw anything anymore over the desktop picture. The only way is to kill the task.

Tim, this happens most often with the grenade launcher, slightly less often with the sticky launcher and only once with the bottle (I don't demoknight. ever.) I have only ever used one skin, and it happens on computers that don't have those. Would this happen from having a problem in my config, by any chance? I mean, Wind's cofig supposedly has different hitsounds (which I never hear). Should I try deleting anything in wind's config relating to demoman or sound?

It's happened to me once when I heard a machina penetration kill sound, and another time it happened when I was playing soldier I think. It does seem to be connected to sound but not any particular class.
