Oh and no, no upgrades for it, please, that would destroy the purpose of stock weapons.
So I use it on Medieval Mode.

It does make you an easier target though. While stat based it is a direct upgrade, the inability to move is a minus.
It IS a direct upgrade, simply because the taunt takes the same amount of time, and has only one difference: Health regen to allies. No-one is forcing you to use the taunt to heal, not when you have a ghostbuster-style healgun in your secondary slot, or maybe a heal/hurt crossbow in your primary slot.
