Dude, the ring is never used for it's intended purpose. If you look back on the sale Mann Co. had in 2012, you'll remember that we were bombarded with ring messages every few minutes! And none of them really seemed to be truly thoughtful. A vast majority were either stupid jokes or just plain rude... Either way, the ring seemed good at first, but combined its $100 price with the fact that people now use it as a joke instead of a thoughtful gift, the ring is pretty much a joke item now...
Plus, I think we need more holiday events. I'm sick of waiting all year for Scream Fortress and Holiday Fortress. I would at least like some other important holidays thrown into the mix. Maybe celebrate certain holidays from each of the mercenaries home countries. Like Medic's Oktoberfest, or Soldier's Independence Day.... Just give us more variety in events for the game.
As for the Valentine's Day item idea, I like it, but we would probably have to make new items for those crates to have inside. Maybe reskins of Festive items to make them Valentine themed. Maybe paint them with blood stains and candy hearts to go with the theme?
But really, for a day that is exclusively meant to profit, i couldn't care.
