Valve Hat Deletion-Should have see it coming

Honestly, does anyone else think they should have seen it coming? Think about it. The minute Valve put name tags in the original item bundles instead of the SAME HATS THAT WERE/ARE GOING TO BE DELETED, I knew something was fishy. No need to post, but I'd like to hear anyone's opinion.

Well, the Hat's aren't being Deleted. They are being retired, and it's been a long time coming. Obviously, they need to retire items to reward players who were around to get the items. Those who have them will find them go Vintage... and the crates will only ever drop normal (No unusual) ones from that point foward, but they will be all that much more valuble as the game continues to grow. You won't miss those hats... there are plenty of similer items, and always new hats coming out. If you have to have it, well.. when the community market goes live full on, you'll be able to get those hats one way or the other.

I'm hoping they add Vintage and Genuine Parts at some point. And Maybe add a new classification way down the road... Antique (Super Vintage.)

I meant retired, I knew they weren't going to be deleted from people's accounts. I just feel like it's weird that people didn't realize what was going to happen. And that Antique idea seems like a really good one, definetely worth putting in game.

That is just what any TF2 economy buff (I not being one of them) would have expected. And I bet that is the entire reason why Valve decided to pull the hats out of the system. I mean, can you think of any other reason why?

Actually, not all the class packs included the original hat. For example, the Soldier's pack included the Tyrant's Helm (the first was Soldier's Stash) and the Engineer's included the Texas Ten-Gallon (the first was Mining Helmet.)
