There is a serious problem with hacking in this game.
Every time I play this game recently, a hacker appears on the server. VAC is useless and does not stop them. Valve you need to seriously fix this as it is ruining my experience and others experience in the game.

The obvious hackers are one thing. The subtle hackers are worse. I have played against a lot of "good" players only to see they are using wall hacks or subtle aim hacks. It is so amazingly prevalent that I once played a Doomsday match where there was a hacker on my team and hackers on the other and it was just a hacker duel.

This is becoming a serious problem that is only getting worse and absolutely ruining the game for me. Fix it now.

Are you playing on a valve server?

Don't play on valve servers.

I don't play on servers where other players can gives themselves control and greater privileges.

I played on many private servers and all it led to was extreme team stacking and "purchasers" not being moved during an autoscramble. I want a fair playing field, which means that no single player has control of any rules on the server. I can only guarantee that on the valve servers. Valve should do their best to keep them clean.

A lot of players don't have the knowledge and experience to understand when someone is subtle hacking. The obvious hackers are obvious, but it takes a lot of experience and a discerning eye to be able to tell if someone is subtle hacking.

Well, I've never seen an "obvious hacker", and I'd like to think I have enough experience to tell if one is obvious or not. But if it's down to the subtle level, then yeah, I probably wouldn't notice.

I was a scout on turbine running towards their intel at the start of a match and a sniper came out of the door parallel with me, turned perpendicular and sniped me dead. That is a very, very difficult shot to pull of. Based on that and other plays during the match, I knew he had to be hacking. He has been playing subtle the whole time and I called him on his hacking. Then all of a sudden he went into full obvious hacker mode.

Anymore, I notice subtle hacking going on I goad them into revealing themselves, nine times out of ten it works. Most of them have a superiority complex, so when you put their superiority into question they cannot stand it.

Most players who have excessive jittering without a bizarre ping value are most likely hacking, whether they are doing well or not. There is no excuse for the jittering and robotic movements. I played against another player who 'knew' where other players were or would be. Wall hacks, you see. At times he would shoot at a wall or the edge of a wall before he ever saw the player. I had other players spec him and they said it was not hacking. Either the player was not experienced or was a co-conspirator.

Another thing I find is that these hackers come with allies or friends who prevent you from kicking them from the team and actively defend them verbally either by saying they aren't in fact hacking despite my lying eyes or that it isn't a big deal. Sad play all around.

This is all recently. In one game we had a medic that could heal someone anywhere on the map and provide infinite uber, even from within spawn. The f7 hacker tool is useless as it requires VIDEO to show the hacking, not just some random image. Plus they never use an identifiable name, so you cannot pin them down and determine their real account or anything.

Last night every single server I played on had a hacker. I had to have seen 5+ hackers in one day. It is a constant problem.

Really? I see it every couple of weeks. Seems like VAC kills off a batch of hacks and it takes a while for the new ones to get up and running.

All critical hacks, instant uber charge, no spread hacks, reduced damage hacks, aimbots, wall hacks, it's all out there.

Just google it and you'll find forum after forum of hacks. It's pretty rampant.

It's rare I go a week without a blantant hacker. But every couple of weeks it gets REALLY bad.

I hate to sound racist, but ever since the Chinese/Korean players started picking this game up, the hacking has gotten more noticable then ever.

I would say that it is not the Chinese or Korean players. They don't seem motivated by griefing. There is nothing to gain here. The stereotype is they play professionally for a purpose. I rarely see it for the fun of it or the enjoyment of angering other players. Plus, I have heard a couple of these jerks on their voice chat. All distinctively not Asian, unless they grew up in the states. These are Americans or maybe American-speaking non-Americans.

if you wanna avoid them just play on a communitys servers that you enjoy, sure there might be hackers sometimes on them but they usually have easy access or active admins playing so you'll get them banned, I haven't seen that many though but I guess its cause I stick to the servers I have on my favorites rather then going onto valve servers.

Well, the obvious asian character named hackers I saw don't talk, and they are solely out to get kills. Like the sniper who went regular SMG with the all critical hack. Seems many of them don't care that they are outright hacking, they're just out to get kills. They only leave when kicked or that their hacking is openly discussed.
