Arguably, the best setup for a normal game is the Stock Minigun, the Sandvich and the Gloves of Running Urgently. This is assuming you want the best setup for effectiveness, rather than fun, in which case you could potentially swap out some weapons based on your preferences. Personally, I use the Stock Minigun, Sandvich and Holiday Punch; the Stock Minigun is simply the most versatile Minigun that provides decent and reliable damage, while the Sandvich can save your life, your Medic's life or the life of an ally.

The Gloves of Running Urgently will allow you to travel to the front-lines quickly, which helps when a Teleporter is not available or when you need to quickly shuffle positions; the Marked for Death status is something you need to consider, but it can be useful even mid-combat if you have a Medic, since a few Pistol or Mini-Sentry rounds while being healed can be shrugged off, even if they are Mini-Crits, and can allow you to quickly change positions or seek cover. Just make sure not to use them when damaged and under fire, as you'll simply be sealing your fate by doing so.

i main heavy and i use all the miniguns, if you dont know what to pick just go on random pubs and try them all out, different ones are good for different situations, the only minigun you should not use is the Tomislav, that thing is useless especially since theres a bug which lets others hear the firing speed when your spinned up without firing, if you are using a minigun with slow Spinning speed, for eg.brass beast, you can jump and crouch to make you airbourne for longer (increase speed) or you can jump from a height or jump off a prop (pumpkin for example)
hope this helps - iceox the heavy :D

They fixed the Tomislav bug two updates ago actually. At least the update notes claimed to. It isn't so much useless as much as the downside really isn't worth the upside.

Brass Beast is kinda okay on Defense but horribly useless when it comes to offensive play.

Natascha is fairly bad these days.

Huo Long Heater is okay on Offensive payload and King of the Hill.

Minigun
Sandvich
GRU/Fists of Steel

This here is the best serious loadout.

Iron Curtain
Sandvich
Fists/Holiday Punch

I'm serious about the Holiday Punch, get a Kritzkrieg Medic and you'll get taunt kills en masse.

Also worth noting, Holiday Punch stuns Ubers.

Ok i take back what i said about the buggy tomislav, although even without the bug the thing is pretty darn useless, and whats so bad about natasha D:

It's Natascha. (Not a typo correction.)

I gave you an answer, but hey, I can rephrase it:
Natascha has "her" own, horrible stats.
There, if you still don't get it, then blame yourself.

it really depends on your play style...a brass beast would help if you've got a medic, a tomislav if you want to deal with anyone quckly, a sandvich would help if there are no medics...fists of steel reduce bullet damage...whatever you think is useful, there is no best class or best weapon.

I use Brass beast,Dalokohs,Frying pan or Holiday punch

Since i'm a Defensive type heavy The Brass beast is pretty useful for defensing a point

The Dalokohs gives you 50 health so you basicly can guard place, I usually call medic to have a good amount of health

The stock/CO/Frying pan is pretty good in last resorts or when you are out of ammo

The Holiday punch if you have a kritz partner

I myself like to use the Brass Beast, a Sandwich and Brass Knuckles.

I like the Brass Beast because it has more firepower than most miniguns, and although I move slower, it helps to steady my aim.

The Sandwich, of course, is useful for healing when you have a moment, or there are no medics and a wounded comrade needs aid.

And the Knuckles, although they are weak, I like em because they swing fast. Not like I use them much anyways, since It's mostly the minigun that does most of the work.
